Smythe: Fashion Week

Category : Fashion | Tags : Smythe

This year’s LG Toronto Fashion Week kicked off in high style.  With a brand new location at Toronto’s David Pecaut Square, the week started off with an ode to Canadian talent, presented by the quintessentially Canadian department store Holt Renfrew

With this year’s theme being “Canada Cool”, Holt’s brought out the best and brightest in Canadian design talent. Each designer previewed seven looks from the upcoming spring season, and celebrated made-in-Canada jacket label Smythe did not disappoint.

Previewing their bold and colourful Spring 2012 collection to the who’s who of the Toronto fashion scene, each jacket was accented with stylish, custom-made silk harem pants and bandeaus that had the crowd buzzing.  However, no pants or accessories could steal the spotlight from the main attraction: the Smythe blazer. With fresh colour combinations and their signature ultra-feminine tailoring, Smythe once again solidified their spot as one of Canada’s most celebrated design duo.
