#ICYMI Spray Net on Dragons' Den

Any entrepreneur with a great idea can enter the Dragons' Den, however, landing a deal with a Dragon is certainly no small feat. This season, the panel of Dragons include international beer baroness Manjit Minhas, tech titan Michele Romanow, fashion mogul Joe Mimran, franchise king and original Dragon Jim Treliving and of course finance phenom Michael Wkerle.
On February 3, one of Canada’s most successful franchises to date, Spray-Net, made its television debut facing the sharp shooting entrepreneurs and savvy venture capitalists.  With a mobile spray booth (and proprietary paint technology) in tow, Spray-Net’s Founder and President Carmelo Marsala faced the Dragons, pitching the permanent exterior paint solution company that he founded in 2006 at the age of 19.
As the winner of the 2015 Air Miles Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Small Business Achievement and the only Canadian winner for the IFA’s (International Franchise Association) NextGen in Franchising Global Competition, Marsala presented his business model and never wavered despite the Dragons’ cutthroat and intimidating nature.  In the end, Marsala left the den with a new partnership with the franchise king, Jim Treliving.
