Fit For a Duchess

Category : Fashion | Tags : Smythe

From the very first moment it was announced that the just-married Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were taking their first official royal tour to Canada it became the talk of the town nation world: just what was Kate Middleton going to wear? There was speculation as to possible Canadian designers she might include in her wardrobe (said to contain 40 different outfits to accommodate x3 changes/day) and had many a fashion house holding its breath as her arrival approached.

On the morning of Thursday, June 30 the phone at Deb McCain Communications began ringing at 7:30am. The duchess had been seen embarking on the plane taking her to Ottawa sporting the Smythe One-Button Blazer in navy. After weeks of hard work, coordination conundrums, delivery setbacks, royal protocol and a whole lot of faith in our client proved fruitful in the end.

A day that can only be described as PR paradise came next. Vetting inquiries from local, national and internationally media – Smythe even made the top Yahoo News trending topic.
