Fashion Awarded a Gold Medal at this Year’s Olympic Games

At this year’s Olympics, London 2012 isn’t just about the sports and athletes. It’s about fashion and style with many of the countries team uniforms designed by high profile designers like Stella McCartney and Hermes. With many celebrities attending the events all eyes are on who is wearing what and the Duchess of Cambridge is, of course, at the centre of all the attention.

During the opening ceremony, Kate Middleton looked incredible in a stunning silk coat dress by Scottish designer Christopher Kane, but her outfit on day three is what caught our attention. Known as the “Royal Recycler” she lived up to her name by donning her Smythe One Button Blazer in Navy – the very one she wore during her Canadian Royal Visit last summer. A decidedly more casual look than at the opening ceremonies, she paired the navy blazer with a simple white Team GB polo, Givenchy sunglasses and Stuart Weitzman wedges.

Day four brought us a double take as the Duchess yet again wore her famous Smythe to cheer on her cousin-in-law Zara Philips alongside her dashing husband, you know… the FUTURE KING OF ENGLAND. Placing first in this year’s Vanity Fair International Best Dressed List, perhaps Canadian Olympians should take some fashion coaching from the Duchess and demand they be dressed in Smythe for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia!
