CAMH’s One Brave Night with a Dragon

Did you know that 1 in 5 Canadians are living with an addiction or a mental illness? On May 13 2016, Dragons Den’s very own Jim Treliving and wife Sandi (a member of the Board of Directors at CAMH Foundation) participated in this year’s CAMH One Brave Night. CAMH asks Canadians to bravely give and stay up one night to inspire hope for those who will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.

Raising over $50,000, Treliving said the experience has made him think of the struggle that those living with a mental illness must go through every night. At dawn, participants were invited to share a photo with the hashtag #sunriseselfie.  The Treliving team shared their very own selfie at dawn:

“Great work Team Treliving! Proud for staying up all night! Now, time for a nap #onebravenight #sunriseselfie” – Jim Treliving (Twitter, May 14 2016)

An awe-inspiring initiative, thousands of you participated in CAMH’s One Brave Night challenge this year. Remember, even though the challenge was only for one night, it’s important to keep the conversation going to help break the stigma. Make a difference and get loud for mental health!
