Australia x Canada: Vionic Canada Launches

On December 3rd, DMC launched the newly rebranded Vionic with Orthaheel Technology at Hotel Ocho. With a little help from the Vancouver-based team at Global Shoe Connection, it was a coast-to-coast event that brought a taste of sunny Australia to chilly downtown Toronto.

Beginning Spring 2014, Orthaheel becomes Vionic with Orthaheel Technology. While Vionic is a new brand on the outside, its most prominent feature is the tried-and-true technology on the inside. For natural foot, knee, leg and back pain relief, Orthaheel technology targets key areas and helps to reduce over-pronation and other common ailments. A fresh and chic exterior is balanced with the renowned medical heritage from the Vasyli Innovation Lab to set Vionic above and apart.

Bringing together science and style, Vionic has successfully aligned what women need with what women want; glamourous detail combined with the ultimate in adjustability, versatility and walkability. Editors were treated to Aussie-style tucker and tea with favourites from down under like mini Vegemite toasts and of course, chocolate Tim Tams as they were guided through a seasonal trend presentation, reflexology assessment and a personalized fitting from the Vionic experts. As night fell, the city’s top fashion, lifestyle and health bloggers/writers came together to toast the launch of Vionic with Australian bubbly, complete with our favourite treats for your feet compliments of the gals at Tips Nail Bar and Kiss's Nail Dress for sparkly toes with no dry time!
