‘Made in Canada’ TIFF Lounge Gives Back

Every year in September, the city turns into a mini Hollywood as it plays host to the Toronto International Film Festival. Celebrities frequent the city’s hot spots and coffee shops as fans try and snap a photo, an autograph or even just catch a glimpse of Alexander Skarsgard (squee!). But – do the celebs really come for the films? Or is it the sweet gift lounges that keep them coming back year after year?

Offering up the best of the best that Canada has to offer, CBC once again hosted its “Made in Canada” lounge for local and out of town talent. For the fourth year in a row our client Ron White was able to showcase his Fall12 collection and also raise awareness of his charity The Ron White Foundation Shoe Drive.

Every year the Ron White Foundation hosts a Shoe Drive in both Canada and the US which collects shoes from the public and celebrities including Celine Dion, Matt Damon, Kevin Spacey and this year Rachel McAdams said she would donate a pair!

Since it began 16 year ago, this shoe drive has given more than 25,000 shoes and boots to men, women and children in need.
